Holy Land Tour


Itinerary

Day 1: Leave the USA on an international flight to Tel Aviv

Upon arrival into Tel Aviv, we will have met by a representative who will assist us with passport control, we will then board our bus and drive to Tiberias.  Dinner and overnight in Herziliya. (D)

Day 2: Nazareth– Megiddo – Mt. Carmel – Caesarea
Today we check out from our hotel and depart visiting the following biblical sites: Caesarea Maritima the springboard of Christianity to the West (Acts 9 & 25), Mt. Carmel (1 Kings. 18), Megiddo(Armageddon; 1 Kgs. 9:15; Rev. 16:16) and Nazareth – Mount of Precipice (Luke 1 & 2),. We proceed to Jerusalem for Dinner and overnight. 

Day 3: Caesarea Philipi, Mt. Beatitudes – Tabgha – Capernaum – Boat Ride & Museum, BaptismThis morning we rise at our hotel on the shore of the Sea of Galilee. Today will include many Biblical sites along the shore of the Sea of Galilee: e.g., Capernaum (Matt. 4:13), Mount of Beatitudes (Matt. 5-7),. Caesarea Philippi (Mark 8:27), The road to Damascus (Acts 9:1-19) in the Golan Heights (Bashan)Lunch of St Peter’s Fish; visit The Jesus Boat exhibition; Sunset boat ride across the Sea of Galilee, and the Baptismal Site; Dinner and overnight in Tiberias. 

Day 4: Bet Shean-Jericho- Old Roman Road-Jerusalem

Today we leave Galilee to visit Bet Shean where we will visit Roman ruins and discuss the significance of this city and its connection with King Saul.  We will then continue on the Jordan Valley Road Jericho to discuss the history of the city that was conquered first by Joshua and the Israelites.  We will then stop at the Old Roman Road that Jesus and others would have traveled on as we make our way up to Jerusalem.  Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 5: Mt. Olives – Valley of Elah-Hebron – Bethlehem – Shepherd’s Field

Today we begin our tour with an orientation of the City of Jerusalem form the Mount of Olives.  We will then drive to the Valley of Elah where David defeated Goliath. We will proceed to Hebron to visit the Cave of the Patriarchs.  We will then visit Bethlehem and the Church of the Nativity where Our Lord was born and Shepherd’s Fields. Time will be given for shopping. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. (B, L, D)

Day 6: Masada – Ein Gedi – Qumran – Tel Jericho

After Breakfast, Leaving Jerusalem, we will descend down to the Dead Sea and the wilderness of Judah. Our first stop will be Masada, where we will ascend high upon the wilderness mountain by way of the cable car to the fortress built by King Herod. Here we survey the ruins of the fortifications, waterworks, synagogue, temples and palaces. Following the road north along the western shore of the Dead Sea, we will stop at Ein Gedi where David hid from King Saul (I Samuel 24). Continuing north, we will stop at Qumran and the possible settlement of the first century sect known as the Essenes, the authors of the Dead Sea Scrolls. From there we will go to the city of Palms, Jericho the oldest existing city on earth. Here we will see Tel Jericho and the Mount of Temptation. If it is available on our way back to Jerusalem we will stop at the Wadi Qelt. The Biblical Valley of the Shadow of Death. Back to Jerusalem, dinner and Overnight. (B, L, D)

Day 7: Wailing Wall – Western Wall Tunnels – Davidson Center -St. Anne- Temple Mount – Garden of Gethsemane – House of Caiaphas – Via Dolorosa-  Garden Tomb
After breakfast, we will ascend the Temple Mount, the 35-acre temple area purchased by King David (2 Sam. 24:18-25) On this site now stands the magnificent Dome of the Rock (the third holiest shrine in all Islam) and the El Aksa Mosque. we will follow the Passion of Christ.  We then go on to Mt. Zion where we will visit the Upper Room, where Jesus spent those last momentous hours with His disciples before His passion, and it was also here where the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples on Pentecost. we will enter Jerusalem through the Dung Gate and walk to the holiest site in the whole Jewish world, the Western Wall (Wailing Wall) of Herod’s temple. At this point we will enter the Rabbinical Tunnel) where we get as close to the temple as allowed without being on the Temple Mount. Here you will see the foundation stones of Herod’s wall surrounding the Temple Mount. When we exit the Rabbinical Tunnel, we will make our way from the temple area. We will then visit the Southern Steps the main entrance to the Temple and the Teaching steps where Rabbis such Gamaliel used to teach. We will proceed to St. Stephen’s Gate to visit the Church of St. Anne which is also the site of the Pools of Bethesda (John 5).  We will then go to Gethsemane with its ancient olive grove, and there visit the Church of Agony, where Jesus prayed and was arrested (private time will be given in the private section of the Garden). We will then cross the Kidron Valley on foot to go to the house of Caiaphas, where Jesus was tried and where Peter denied Our Lord.  We then walk the Via Dolorosa to the Sisters of Zion Convent (to see the Pavement where Jesus stood as he was being tried by Pilate) and the Ecce Homo Arch, and then follow the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher where Jesus was crucified, buried, and resurrected.   Late in the afternoon we will visit the Garden Tomb and celebrate a communion service. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem (B, L, D)

Day 8: Amman – Bethany beyond the Jordan
Drive to Allenby to cross into Jordan, we will make our way to Bethany Beyond the Jordan. We will have an opportunity to be baptized here, the place where John the Baptist lived when he baptized Jesus.  Dinner and Overnight at the Dead Sea (B, L, D)

Day 09: Madaba – Mt. Nebo – Jerash – Amman
after breakfast, we drive to Madaba the sight of a mosaic map of Jerusalem from the Byzantine era and then on to Mt. Nebo, to stand where Moses stood to view the Promised Land. you will depart for Jerash, nestled in a quiet valley among the mountains of Gilead. Outside of Italy, this ancient Roman city is one of the most well-preserved sites of Roman architecture in the world. Currently, its paved and colonnaded streets are home to soaring hilltop temples, handsome theaters, spacious public squares and plazas, baths, fountains and towers.  We will then drive to Amman to have a tour of the city.  We return to our hotel at the Dead Sea for dinner and overnight. Day 10: Petra – Dead Sea
After breakfast, we begin a long day of driving through the Jordanian desert along the area called the Way of the Kings. On our way we will visit Petra,“The rose red city half as old as time,” This ancient Edomite and Nabatean capital is an amazing example of prophecy. We will see the spectacular “city of the dead,” with its famed gorge, ancient streets, temples, dwelling places and tombs, carved in the solid rock. Then we arrive at El-Ji Post, and continue the one-mile journey on horseback, or walk, passing through the famous Siq (the natural gorge) and arrive at the Treasury, we return to our hotel at the Dead Sea for dinner and overnight. Day 11: Return home.

Today we leave Jordan on an international flight back home with unforgettable memories.

  • Trip Cost of $4800, includes transportation (From Houston – To Houston), hotels, gratuities, etc… (Everything except souvenirs and food in the airports. 
  • Individuals who have registered and paid in full, can receive a $200 credit toward their trip, for each person that they sign up and that pays in full. 
  • There is a $200 discount if they have been on a previous trip with us.
  • Cancellations: In the event of cancellation there will be penalties based upon the timing of the notice.  If you have to cancel for any reason there is a 100% refund at 30 days from registration, a 75 % refund at 60 days, a 50% refund at 90 days , at 25% refund at 120 days, and 0 beyond 120 days.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we have certain deadlines to meet with the airlines and hotels to secure the best rates for our groups. 
  • Final Payments are due December 31st, 2019.  Below is a sample payment plan you can use to help you plan your budget.  We will be handling all of the payments and registration through our GMN website: gmnonline.org, Just click on the Israel link at the top of the GMN page to make payments online.
